Last Updated: September 2026. By using EndLock Vault, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before subscribing.
By accessing or using the EndLock Vault platform, website or services (“Service”), you (“Client”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy and our Billing Policy, all of which are incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not use the Service.
The Service is provided by EndLock LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, trading as EndLock Vault (“Company”, “we”, “us”).
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and EndLock LLC with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations or understandings.
Important: EndLock Vault is a supplementary backup and data protection service. It is not intended to be your sole or primary means of data storage, business continuity or disaster recovery. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own primary data management strategy, including but not limited to local backups, redundant systems and business continuity planning.
We strongly recommend that you maintain independent copies of all critical data outside of EndLock Vault. The Service is designed to complement, not replace, a comprehensive data protection strategy.
Your data is encrypted on your own device using AES-256 before it is transmitted to your vault. The encryption key used for this is referred to as your Vault Key.
Your Vault Key is held within your EndLock Vault account and can be viewed and changed at any time from your client portal. Changing your Vault Key does not affect your existing backups, which remain fully restorable.
This means a forgotten password does not result in the loss of your data. It also means that the security of your EndLock Vault account, and of the email address associated with it, is the effective security boundary for your backups. Anyone able to access your account — including by resetting your password through your email address — can view your Vault Key and restore your data.
Because your Vault Key is recoverable through your account, your account credentials and your email address are the keys to your data. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account, your password and your email account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication on your EndLock Vault account and on the email address associated with it. EndLock Vault accepts no liability for unauthorised access to your data resulting from compromised account credentials, a compromised email account, or credentials shared with or disclosed to a third party.
While EndLock Vault employs industry-standard immutable object lock storage, AES-256 encryption and redundant infrastructure, we do not guarantee that data stored in the Service will always be recoverable. Data recovery may be affected by, but is not limited to:
You acknowledge that no backup system provides an absolute guarantee of data recovery and that you use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for verifying that your backups are completing successfully and that your data is recoverable by periodically performing test restores.
We strongly recommend performing a test restore of your data at least once every 90 days to verify that your backups are complete and recoverable. EndLock Vault provides self-service recovery tools for this purpose. We accept no liability for data that has not been verified as recoverable by the Client.
The Client is solely responsible for configuring their backup job, including the selection of files, folders and any exclusions. EndLock Vault shall not be liable for any data loss arising from files or folders excluded from backup by the Client, whether intentionally or inadvertently. EndLock Vault recommends that Clients regularly verify their backup configuration and test restore operations to ensure all critical data is being protected.
Where a plan covers more than one device, all devices on that plan share a single vault and a single Vault Key. Any device signed in to the account may restore data backed up by any other device on the same plan. Clients requiring separation between users or devices should purchase separate plans.
Restoring your data is included in your plan. We do not charge egress, bandwidth or download fees.
This is subject to fair use. As a guideline, restoring up to the full size of your vault within a calendar month is well within normal use. Sustained restore volumes significantly above that may require a change of plan or incur additional charges, and we will notify you before any charge applies.
Each plan includes a defined storage allocation. If your vault reaches its storage limit, further backups to that vault will not complete until space becomes available or you upgrade to a larger plan.
Backups are written with object lock immutability for a fixed retention period. During that period, data cannot be deleted or modified — by you, by us, or by any third party. This is the mechanism that protects your backups from ransomware. It also means that storage space occupied by a backup is not released until its retention period expires.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EndLock Vault, its directors, officers, employees, agents, partners and licensors shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to:
This limitation applies regardless of whether EndLock Vault has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise.
Maximum Aggregate Liability: In no event shall EndLock Vault’s total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising under or related to these Terms exceed the total amount paid by you to EndLock Vault in the three (3) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This cap applies to all forms of liability combined.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless EndLock Vault and its directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to store data that:
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is in violation of these terms, without prior notice and without liability.
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis in your selected currency. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time through the client portal. Full details of our billing practices, grace periods and data retention following non-payment are set out in our Billing Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Following account termination or expiry, your vault data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted after the grace period described in the Billing Policy. You are solely responsible for exporting or restoring any data you wish to retain before termination takes effect.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but provide it on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure operation of the Service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible and conducted during off-peak hours. Unplanned outages may occur without notice.
Enterprise clients with a dedicated SLA will be subject to the availability commitments set out in their individual service level agreement, which supplements but does not replace these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of material changes to the Service that significantly affect your use.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Changes to pricing. We may update our prices from time to time. If your plan price changes, we will notify you via email before the new rate takes effect. The update will apply to your next billing cycle following the notice. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel your subscription at any time before the change takes effect.
We would rather resolve a problem directly than argue about it. The following steps are a condition of bringing any claim, and neither party may commence legal proceedings until they have been completed.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, or prevents us from pursuing unpaid fees, without first completing these steps.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to clause 14, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Wyoming.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Your Vault Key can be viewed from your portal, so your account and email are the keys to your data. Enable two-factor authentication on both.
You can reset your account password by email and view or change your Vault Key from your portal. Changing it does not affect existing backups.
EndLock Vault is a backup service — not a replacement for a complete data protection strategy. Maintain your own primary backups.
Verify that your backups are completing and your data is recoverable. We recommend a test restore every 90 days.
Devices on the same plan share one vault, so any of them can restore another's files. Need separation? Use separate plans.
You are responsible for what is included or excluded from your backup. We are not liable for data loss due to exclusions you configure.
Our liability is capped at 3 months of your subscription fees. We are not liable for consequential, indirect or business loss.
If your payment fails, your data is safe for 30 days while you resolve the issue. See our Billing Policy for full details.
